“the church has left the building”

That’s a phrase Ray used yesterday to describe our two Sunday morning service that we held in the parking lot. And if you’re going to have a service outside, you couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day: blue skies, no humidity, and the sweet sound of the Com Ed guys repairing our power lines. For those of you who couldn’t make it because you were guarding battery-powered sump pumps, cleaning out damp basements, or just exhausted from the crazy weekend… here are a few photos of our parking lot service.

What an awesome service that I missed! We were so sad to have missed this as we had to take Laurel back to Taylor University. Sometimes God allows moments like these so we can discover something very “cool”. Wouldn’t it be awesome to have other “OutReach” services like this outside to draw the community in. We could advertise out in front a few weeks ahead of time and plan a “Seekers” service. One in the Spring, One in the Summer, and One in the Fall. And, have it ALL OUTSIDE with LOTS of music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just an idea……….
