During last Sundays services Ray mentioned that PCC’s high school students were spending that morning in Elmhurst serving the community in a very creative way. Here are a couple of photos and a brief recap by Youth Pastor Glenn.

This past Sunday a group of about 25 high school students and leaders met at the prairie path in Elmhurst to help with a 5k run/walk sponsored by One Small Voice Foundation. This is an organization started by some friends of our ministry whose son Zachary was born with hydrocephalus and optic nerve hyperplasia. Since his birth, Zack’s parents have done all they can to raise awareness of, and funds for, research of these diseases.
We did everything from helping set up, man the trail, stop car traffic at intersections so participants could cross the streets safely, (one student even got to stop a police car!) time those who were racing, encourage participants, and clean up after the event. It was a beautiful morning, the run/walk was very well attended and Ignite! was able to demonstrate the love of Christ by helping this family pull this event off. We count it a privilege to serve!
