mercy stories needed

One more thing regarding the upcoming mercy sermon…

If you have any examples of people who are particularly merciful could you send them to me? Friends, family members, public figures, whatever. You can leave a comment here, or email me, david AT pccmail DOT org.

Thanks!

  1. This is an old story (well, a year old, I think) Last year there was an Amish Community ( I don’t remember where!) that was terrorized by a man who held some of their children hostage in their school house, abused the children and shot them and himself. Then, after all the smoke had cleared the Amish people, who were still grieving – I’m sure – (understandbly) tore down the school house to build another, ‘untainted one’. But that wasn’t it. They took forgiveness and mercy to the uber level and reached out to the family of the man who terrorized their community.

  2. Keni- great idea. I too have been struck by the example of the Amish in this tragic story.

    Thanks!
