This is spectacular film-making and wonderfully interesting as well… Personally, I never graduated. It became pointless for me. Mind you, I was in theatre, so it was more about who you knew and what you’ve done rather than what degree you had anyway… but I can totally sympathize. I got my first credit card to buy school textbooks. I had no other way. And those books were simply for general education, having nothing to do with my major or my intended goal. Not that I’m against a balanced education, but I definitely can associate with the antiquated and often oppressive system that schools, especially colleges/universities place students in… it’s like a hurdle more than an opportunity these days…
The students did a great job with that video. Watching that helped me remember why I took 11 years off after I graduated from high school to go to college. It was also interesting to get a perspective of what life in a classroom is like at a big university. I am glad I am going to a school that emphasizes small class sizes. I would feel lost in a large school and would probably drop out after the first semester. This video also helped me understand my classmates better, the majority of them have transfered from other schools after becoming disillusioned by the educational system there.
