I asked Lynn, who leads the Women’s Ministry team if she could give us a quick recap of their last event. Here it is, along with a preview of the next FAB Friday on November 2. Also, I’m pretty sure this is the first post on this blog with the words picking up poops with a paper plate. So there you go.
Parkview’s Women in Community kicked off their new year of FAB Friday’s with “Fit And Balanced” on October 5. 25 women were in attendance for the night which began with a potluck dinner. Next, women participated in two 20 minute break-out sessions on living a spiritually and physically healthy life: Glynise presented on spiritual health and Lynn spoke on nutrition and exercise.

To wrap up the evening, the women participated in friendly competition. It was FAB’s first ever obstacle course for women: dressing a pet, taking to the clinic, picking up poops with a paper plate and putting them in a container, wash hands and peel a hard boiled egg, fold laundry, and get a manicure.
This was a great night for women to get together for 2 hours to learn, share, and have fun. FAB Friday’s meet the first Friday of the month from 7-9pm in room M-3. The next FAB is November 2, “Faithful And Blessed”. Sign ups begin Sunday, October 14 in the lobby or email women@pccmail.org for more information.
