Did you ever have an advent calendar when you were a kid? Maybe your family has one that you break out every December during the days leading up to Christmas. Or perhaps you buy one that has a piece of chocolate behind each little door… because chocolate symbolizes, uh, the sweetness of… Let’s be honest, because we like chocolate.

Starting Saturday I’ll post a blog version of the advent calendar using the art of Si Smith. Each day leading up to Christmas will feature a scene from the Christmas story. Each scene has a blank space for a character to speak. Si has left these spaces blank for us to fill in the story from the Scriptures. Hopefully this little blog advent calendar can stir our imaginations a bit and draw us a little more into the Christmas story.
