the rendezvous: best ribs ever

A couple folks have asked about the dry-rub ribs that I mentioned on the blog before Christmas. The Rendezvous is a ribs joint down an alley in Memphis that has been around for a long, long time. Thought I should post a few photos of this Memphis legend in all its glory. Getting hungry just thinking about those ribs.

    I was so fascinated by dry-rub barbecue that I am embarking on a little experiment. I know it is doomed to failure – because a) I’m using advice from the internet, b) I’m using pork loin instead of ribs, and c) because I’m a Yankee. But I’m going to try.
