Those of you who attend Parkview may know that a small team of PCC women is heading to the Philippines on a short-term missions trip. I asked Jeanne Dotty, one of the leaders of this team, to give us an update about this trip.
As we prepare for our trip to do these retreats, it’s easy to get caught up in the details of everything we need to accomplish- what needs to be packed, who’s doing what for the retreats, how our family will function while we’re gone, etc. We have been re-grounded at every preparation meeting by the love and constancy of God and have been able to revel in his character. Our key verse for the retreat is from Zephaniah 3:17.
The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.
Knowing that we have a father who is so tender and “in love” with us reminds us about who we are as his creation. Please keep us in your prayers as we look to connect with our global team members, the Henderson’s and the Ruch’s, and as we look to serve the women in the missionary community who are coming to the retreats we are hosting in Manila and Davao City.
Our Philippines retreat team is (as per the picture attached): Top Row: Sue Redmond, Jeanne Doty, Ana Ahlenius, Mary Macaluso. Bottom Row: Aubree Redmond, Karen Mauriello, Kathy Woods, and Bette Smillie
