I direct your attention to a few recent comments on this blog.

First, Alex pointed out that Boxer was actually The National’s 3rd album. I wrote that it was their first.

Second, Keith has a thoughtful response to my claim that Christians often abstain from or participate in certain things not because of an expectation for immediate change but because it reflects a Kingdom of God ethic. I’d be curious about other reactions to Keith’s (or my) thoughts on this topic.

Finally, Kim commented that she doesn’t believe an Olympic boycott is appropriate. However she does think the Olympics offer a unique window of time to press China for increased human rights. She directs our attention to Amnesty International’s website as an example of one way this might be done.
