This morning Maggie is taking me to Midway for my flight to Sacramento where I’ll be preaching at my parent’s church, where my dad is a pastor, on Sunday.  It’s short trip- just two nights- and I’m sad Maggie is staying behind this time.  But, there are a few things I’m definitely looking forward to.

• Visiting and preaching at Sanctuary Covenant Church.  My parents have been at this church since January so I’ve heard a lot about it and am glad for the chance to visit.
• Since moving from Idaho last winter, my parents have been living in a one room cottage outside of Sacramento.  The cottage came with a donkey that apparently serves as both the entertainment and alarm clock.  What’s not to look forward to about that?
• Sunday’s high in Chicago: 39.  Sunday’s high in Sacramento: 75.
• In and Out Burger for lunch upon arrival today.
