There were many wonderful moments during the ordination service last night, but having my aunt Tammy (behind my right shoulder) lay hands on me was the highlight. Michael wrote some things about the service that are kind and insightful as is always the case with him.
Hooray! Congratulations, Pastor. I hope this is an affirmation of the good work you’ve been doing at Bronzeville and your call to lead a reconciling community.
David, you and your family are truly beautiful. I am so happy for you all, and I don’t know anyone who deserves oreination more.

This looks so institutionalized and religious, so far removed from the humility and servant posture of Jesus.
