I am the founding pastor of New Community Covenant Church, a multiracial congregation on the South Side of Chicago. I also serve as the CEO of New Community Outreach, a non-profit organization organization working to reduce causes of trauma and raise opportunities for equity in Chicago. I’ve been married to Maggie for almost 20 years and we have two amazing sons. And if you were wondering, the W is for Winston.
I am passionate about racial justice and reconciliation within the Body of Christ. I regularly blog about these and similar topics and have a book coming out with InterVarsity Press that digs into themes of discipleship, race, and justice. Please contact me if you’re interested in having me speak to your organization.
My ministry call is to our church and community, but occasionally I get the chance to share with other churches, ministries, and organizations.
