Over the past year and a half we have asked a few of our key leaders at PCC to beta-test a new volunteer position we’re calling Connection Coaches. This new position was instigated by feedback we were receiving from some the newer members of the Parkview community. We heard from these folks was that while they generally perceived PCC to be a friendly and welcoming church they weren’t always sure how to go about getting plugged into community and service. No good!
One of the ways that we are addressing this need is through the newly-created Connection Coach position. I’ve included the job description in pdf form below so I won’t go into great deal here about the details of the position. There are a few key things that we are looking for in those that will join this volunteer team (we currently have 3 great people on the team)…
- Great people skills.
- Passion to see newcomers connect to the Parkview community.
- Ability to see the big picture at PCC and connect people to specific areas of ministry.
