coldplay’s “violet hill- dancing politicians”

Coldplay’s new album, Viva La Vida, comes out on June 17. The first video from the album was released on May 15. A day or two later the band released an alternative video that, in my opinion, is far more interesting, humorous, and thought provoking than the original. Or maybe I just think it’s funny to see politicians dance.

    I dig it. I like how even handed it is, using many leaders, some considered great, others considered poor (all wielded weapons of war in some way) and using the possibilities of future leaders doing the same. Just cool. And the editing is awesome. The fireworks section at the end was awesome. I love how something seen as so big, booming and patriotic becomes so emotional when taken with the crooning of Coldplay at the end there… awesome.
